Sam has been one of the emerging stars of the current crop of youth team players and caught the eye of City boss Tim Harris with repeated all action displays at the heart of the under 18 side last season. He is a stong, hard working box-to-box midfield player who has plenty of energy and also chips in with goals on a regular basis. Sam seems set to continue his progress in 2007-08, captaining the youth side to impressive FA Youth Cup victories over Exeter and Forest Green while also marking his first start for the first team at Bromsgrove in September 2007 with a full debut goal in a 4-1 league victory.
