T-Ender City MotM: Jimmy Cox - his pace unhinged the Rugby defence throughout, although Rugby's 4 also hugely helped the City cause.

grass trim rule

City finally did enough to see off Rugby and clinch a vital 3-2 home win to see the SLP survival finishing line now in sight - but as usual the Tigers side somehow contrived to turn what should have been a comfortable victory into a nerve jangling conclusion. Despite a goal in the first minute City were only narrowly ahead 2-1 at the break, but it looked as if a strong second half attacking performance had secured the points when Matt Shaxton grabbed his first City goal. Rugby's woeful defence looked there for the taking, but instead of being taken apart the visitors pulled back another goal and made the last few moments of the game more stressful than they needed to be.
