Pen Pic:

A direct and physical young forward who showed plenty of energy in pre-season matches and convinced Tim Harris to sign him up on Southern League forms having spent the summer training with the club. Tustain has previously picked up a promising reputation in local football, most recently helping Slimbridge reach the upper reaches of the Hellenic Premier having forced himself into their side with a rich run of goals. Tustain proved himself a tough competitor who unsettled defenders but despite a regular run in the side and sub appearances he has yet to quite show enough to convince he can play at this level. A loan move back to Slimbridge for the remainder of the season may give him a chance to regain his confidence and recharge his batteries. .

Tustain impressed with his effort and enthusiasm and grabbed an important equalising goal against Hitchin. Unfortunately Tustain's bustle always earned him the respect of the fans but unfortunately Tustain never really pushed on to the point where you couldf see him coming off the bench to change a game at this level.

Joe began his career coming through the ranks of the Bishop's Cleeve youth training system, but having made his first team debut there at just 15 he moved on to Chipping Norton where his performances in a struggling side attracted the attention of Slimbridge.
